Watch for City Centre area road work during the summer months as City crews and contractors take advantage of drier weather to bring transportation improvements to the community.
Pipeline Road
The following projects are part of long-term projects that will bring infrastructure and safety improvements for residents and all road users.
- The Pipeline Road Upgrade Project (David Avenue to Guildford) is focused on improving road safety and active transportation options, increasing road capacity, and making Town Centre Park easier to access.
- Metro Vancouver’s Coquitlam Water Main Project is an ongoing project to construct a new water main in Coquitlam to meet the growing demand for drinking water in the region. Learn more about the Robson to Guildford section.
June 2025 Update - Road Work at Intersection of David Avenue and Pipeline Road
- Metro Vancouver's contractor will be completing work at this intersection, starting the week of June 23 for the next four months, weather permitting.
- Traffic lanes will be reduced at the intersection and there will be no southbound right turn from David Avenue onto Pipeline Road until mid-August. Traffic will be maintained in all other directions. To avoid delays, please plan for extra time or an alternate route.
- Travel with caution through construction zones, watch for work crews and equipment, and obey all traffic personnel and signs, including construction speed limits.
