Commuters and residents are advised to avoid the intersection of Mariner Way and Dewdney Trunk Road over the next two weekends as traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction due to Metro Vancouver’s water main project on Dewdney Trunk Road.

When: Due to high weekday traffic volumes on Mariner Way, work will take place 24 hours a day over two weekends:
- Weekend 1: Friday, June 26 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, June 29
- Weekend 2: Friday, July 3 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, July 6
Traffic Impacts: Traffic on Mariner Way will be reduced to a single lane in each direction through the intersection, and turn restrictions may be in place.
- Avoid the Area: Crews will work continuously, 24 hours per day. Drivers are strongly encouraged to use an alternate route to bypass the construction zone entirely and plan more travel time to get to their destination.
- Safety First: If you must travel through the area, please drive with extreme caution. Watch for work crews, heavy equipment, and obey all traffic control personnel and construction speed limits.
