Plumbing Permits

Residential

  • Apply for the Plumbing Permit (see Additional Information section below for the application forms):
    • Owners intending to do the work themselves must also submit an owner-prepared plan for review by a Plumbing Plans Examiner
    • Registered contractors do not need to submit a plan
  • Pay the permit fee:
    • Registered contractors will be issued a permit immediately
    • Owners intending to do the work themselves, must wait for the result of their plan review
  • Call the City to arrange for inspections at the appropriate stages of the work

Commercial/Industrial/Institutional/Multi-Family

  • Apply for the Plumbing/Sprinkler Permit (see Additional Information section below for the application forms):
    • Registered contractors or the registered professional of record for the plumbing and or sprinkler work must submit three sets of plans of the proposed work
  • Pay application fee
    • Provide supplemental documentation identified and requested by the Plans Examiner during the review process
    • Pick up plans after the review is completed
  • Pay the permit fee
  • Call the City to arrange for inspections at the appropriate stages of the work
