Pick up a printed "passport" booklet at Dogwood Pavilion or Glen Pine Pavilion.
Collect a stamp each time you participate in one of our free activities offered throughout the week. Look for the passport stamp symbol in your Seniors Week program booklet for eligible programs.
For every three stamps you collect, your name will be entered into a prize draw. The more programs you attend, the more chances to win!

Meeting of the Melodies (Passport)
Family and friends are welcome to pack a picnic dinner, spread out a blanket and enjoy the music and dance performances from the choirs and groups in our pavilions and community. In case of rain the event will be moved indoors.
Tree Spree Tour (Passport)
Tucked under the treetops, the forest understory is teeming with life that support a rich and healthy forest. Join the Park Spark team and learn fun facts about the trees, flora and fauna found beneath the canopy of Coquitlam parks. Rain or shine, please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
Seniors Week: Weight Room Orientation
Learn how to safely and effectively use the equipment in the Fitness Centre. Includes refreshments, overview of the weight room floor, location of fitness studio and washrooms. Before attending the class, please ensure you fill out the PAR-Q form (PDF), or ask at the front desk for a paper copy.
Seniors Week: Free Skate
Celebrate Seniors Week with a free skate for adults 50+, helmet and skate rental included. Please check in at front desk to get wristband.
Art on the Move
Join City staff on a guided walk around Coquitlam’s City Centre neighbourhood and connect with local culture and creativity. Discover colourful murals, statues, and learn about the artists and stories behind them. Walking shoes recommended.
Seniors Week: Tea, Tour and Textiles at Evergreen
Enjoy a private exhibition tour of Multitudes at the Art Gallery at Evergreen , followed by complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks in the lake-side lobby. Then take part in a textile craft-along inspired by your own creative practice and the gallery exhibition. Bring your own knitting, crocheting and weaving projects, or join our arts educator to learn basic needle felting and create a mini artwork.

Enjoy the live music of harpist Rebecca Blair playing her Dancing Harp music in open air in the Rose Garden.
Impossible Puzzles
Join us for some mind-bending puzzles to challenge your thinking. Simple hands-on paper-based puzzles will be provided for you to solve using your creative, lateral and analytical thinking. Great way to exercise your brain and engage with others. Facilitated by an Impossible Puzzler who has researched and compiled centuries of global puzzles.
Seniors Week: Tea in the Garden
Drop in at the Inspiration Garden to enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea and wander through the colourful spring garden beds. All ages, family friendly.
Seniors Week: Summer Garden Prep Workshop
Learn about summer garden preparation, plant selection, sun-mapping, soil mixes, watering, process of germination, direct sowing, and a check list of tools and useful tips for your summer balcony, patio or backyard garden. All ages welcome.
Seniors Week: Seniors Week BBQ
Join us for a special BBQ celebrating Seniors Week. Event is outside if weather permits in Spirit Square. Menu: cedar plank salmon, Rice, summer salad and dessert. Entertainment: Barry Wilson
Seniors Week: Welcome to Dogwood
Join us for light refreshments as you learn about Dogwood Pavilion’s variety of adult and senior programs, activities, and services! Meet City staff and members of the Dogwood Seniors Society Board in this engaging information session. Will feature a tour of special amenities such as the woodshop and lapidary rooms.
Seniors Week: Summer Garden Tour
Join the first summer garden tour at the Inspiration Garden! We will be walking around the pathways in the garden to visit different garden beds, saying hello to the resident hummingbirds and mason bees, and sharing inspirational ideas planted in the garden. Tour includes walking on level gravel pathways, walking shoes recommended.
Seniors Week: Behind the Scenes - Bat Walk and Talk
Learn about your local neighbours of the night, flying around behind the scenes! Discover the secret lives of local bats, their ecological importance and how you can help conserve their natural bat habitat on this Bat Walk. Bring your flashlights, a camp chair, and join the Park Spark team with host from the Burke Mountain Naturalists as we watch local bats dance over Como Lake!

An afternoon fashion show featuring style, colour and accessories from members of the community and live entertainment.
